bonuses? I have won the game many times and only got Some dude on the high scores had the and only had played 3 games. Someone else had 2510 games and still had is there any special thing you have to do? I had a score that would have gotthen the

but then you explode it, the green ball 
in the sand will pop up for you to play with, so you don't actually lose a ball after exploding the bomb. Hmm. Not sure if the same thing happens if there's no green ball in the sand -- I mean, if there are only balls of other colors.

I just put here, shows up -- it shows up as a website address, starting with http, see? to find what the address might be for a given icon, go to Carson's pages on capsules and balls, or on awards, whatever you're looking to reproduce here. when you see the icon you're wanting to refer to, click and hold (if you're on a Mac), and the box will pop up asking if you want to save the image to your disk, etc. choose the one that says open in a new window. once you do that, and have only the icon in that window, look up at the address box on your browser and you'll see the address that points to that icon. now, to reproduce it here, just copy and paste, BUT, make sure to delete the part that says "www.leapfrogsw.com", since you're pointing to something within this very website. make sense? not the easiest thing to try to explain... good luck! :-)

To get The umphee ball achievement: Set off a bomb ball when the umphee
runs across the sand where the bomb ball is. The umphee will roll in a ball and jump into the bricks, adding another ball. He moves fast, though.
I've noticed that the umphee ball isn't effected by bubbles, at all. -Thok
, it will curl up. Or if another capsule hits the umphee , it will curl up. Basically, it seems to curl up whenever something touches it from above! :-)
To get the shell achievement, catch two clear capsules right after each other.
to get the pearl ball achievement, tap the shell on the top of it with a ball. It will open. Then, tap it again to make it enter the shell. The shell will spit it out, giving you the ball. Now you wont lose a catch!
, you can have a green paddle and a laser paddle at the same time, because catching the laser doesn't make your catch capsule fall away! :-)
To get the treasure chest achievement, tap the umphee with a purple ball. For

To get the eyeball, make a ball go through two teleporters really fast. The eyeball will give you tons of capsules. If you bounce the ball just right in level 1, standard levels, it is possible to get it.
*(Note, you CAN do it with just one teleporter!)--Yeah, one time I got it on level 18 when the ball got stuck inside the cage*
, and it'll turn into the eye . Like in the Autumn level, when the teleporter is moving up the side of the screen to the right. :-)
To get an achievement for trapping a ball, get a ball inside gates, and then close the gate,
trapping the ball. The gate will eventually open by itself. *(Much easier to just set off a radiation ball right before it goes through a gate, so it will go inside, run out of radiation, and get trapped.)
*Sometimes this can happen without getting the ball stuck inside gates. If the ball is bouncing around for a while without you hitting it sometimes the gates will open (I've had this happen on the level Chairs (3) and Patience (not sure what number)* - chimi
*That's happened to me on Chairs too, chimi. And on the Mania level "Cages" it's easy to get this achievement. Just get a Catch capsule, hit both buttons to open the big cage on the right, hit the right button, and let go of the ball below the cage. You have to time the last step, though. -JP Squirrel
Heres a new one i got, To get the red umphee achievment you need to get the radiation ball. Then activate the radiation and when it its losing its radiation hit the umphee. If you did it right the umphee will turn red. I am still figuring out what this does. But he has done a sprint where he launches up all balls on the sand for about 1 min or so dont know how that happened though. -nop <you can also turn him red by letting the radiation ball hit the sand, and detonating it when the umphee is walking past - Chris>
To get the balled up red umphee achievment you must first get the red umphee(directions above) then have a bomb ball land in the sand when the umphee walk right by the bomb ball set it off and the umphee will go flying. Catch it and you will have the red umphee achievment. One thing it does is go through all bricks without stopping like the red ball in macbrickout 3x. -nop
and radiation ball very near each other in the sand, then waiting until the umphee walks into them, first walking into the radiation ball . So, in other words, the umphee is green and then almost simultaneously turns red and turns into a ball . Of course, you have to make sure to catch it once it's a red balled-up umphee ! Oh, and it will stay like this into the next level, so you can use it to wipe out your screen twice! Curiously, though it can go through supposedly indestructible gold bricks 
, little bubbles divert its path! :-)

To get the coin achievment you need to get the orange ball by getting a 3-capsule. Once you have that hit the umphee and he will dive into the sand. He will come out ond so will a coin. Catch the coin and you get the achievment for it.-nop
five coins, then get the chest, then use the peach colored ball and hit the chest it will then 
open. I have never actually done this but that is how it is done. -nop Then what do you do when the coins start streaking across the screen?
You get the full treasure chest achievement! VERY HARD as you'll notice that NO ONE on the high score list has it!
and getting the gold coins in it , but I'm still confused. Today I had 5 coins that I'd had for a few levels. Then on one level I got the treasure chest by hitting the umphee with the purple ball , and I happened to have the shell , so I used it to make my ball into the pearl ball (even though I already had done that and was running on the pearl ball , but you know how then you can change balls when you get a 3-capsule 
, e.g.) Anyway, then I hit the treasure chest with the pearl ball , and it creaked open . Before I could even breathe, the coins in the upper left-hand corner of my screen (that I had caught in another level) started falling into the treasure chest . I sat and watched, not sure what to do. I think somewhere in here I must have lost my ball, too. So then when I started playing again, the treasure chest was on the sand and open , and my coins were gone from the left-hand corner of the screen. At game's end I noticed that I had only the open-chest achievement, and the coins weren't in it. Was I supposed to catch the coins or something? How come even though they fell into my treasure chest, they didn't show up there? Thanks so much to anyone who can answer!!
after you open the treasure chest (or even if you get the last one after opening it), that means... well, lots of 3-capsules in that level, I guess! No wonder this is a difficult achievement...
on one level, then get all your gold coins on other levels and have it work? Or do you need to get four gold coins , then in one level get the treasure chest and open it and get the fifth coin ?? Aargh!! LOL!
Okay, see, you have to four gold coins, then get the open treasure chest, and on the *same level* get the fifth coin. I don't think it works if you get the last gold coin on a level without the open treasure chest. Oh yeah, and same thing the other way. You can get five gold coins after getting the open treasure chest, but it has to be on the same level. Again, I'm not sure if it matters what level you get the open treasure chest on, just get it after four coins or before all five coins and it might work. Good luck! ;-] -JP Squirrel
- Here's another thought from someone who just got the mystery award (that was sooooo satisfying). I collected 4 gold coins as recommended, waited until I got the chest open on another level and on that same level I got the fifth coin - IT FAILED!!!! Nothing but flashing gold coins across my screen and an empty chest. Again. I was not too deep into the game, so I stayed with that same game. I managed to get four more coins, another chest, opened it, and got the fifth coin. You know you've made it what there are satisfying clinks, like coins dropping in a vending machine. Voila! A filled chest sunken with its weight in treasure into the sand. Yay! Good luck to everyone who is still pursuing this. Now I want to rack up huge points AND get the filled chest.

. I got then . I beat a few levels. I got the again but it appeared to be but it wasn't because balls still bounced off it. I got I got and the coins started to fall in and they made the =clunk= noise then It was . That that wouldn't work if I had hit the that appeared to be open with a . If I had it would have appeared to open even though it already appeared to be open. Sorry for confusing you, but that's what I did! To get the pink bubble achievment get the pink ball alone and then five bubbles will appear and if you pop all of them you get 5000 and and the achivment. -nop The game keeps track of how many you have gotten -CarsonWhitsett.
When you prevent any bubbles from touching the sand, you'll get a clean sand bonus at the end of the level. If you rack up 25,000 points in clean sand bonuses, you'll get this achievement. -CarsonWhitsett How many bubbles do you have to pop? The most points I've ever got with this is a little over 5,000. - Chimi You can't let any bubbles hit the sand On Level 10, i got 10400 points for the clean sand bonus, so it is very possible to get 25000-Andy
right under some gold bricks . Then, especially if you have the green paddle, you can just let the ball bounce up and down between your paddle and the gold brick above it, and you'll pop all the pink bubbles, hence getting the 5000 points!! :-)
Catch a Red-X pill and you're bummin'! But catch another capsule right after (before the ball comes back down) and you'll get a sweet 25,000 point bonus (and this achievement award). The game keeps track of how many of these you catch and displays the count in the high score. -CarsonWhitsett

to get the pearl ball achievement, do you have to aim your ball at a certain angle, or

Yah, you have to hit it at the right angle. Once it's open, hit the ball so it comes in from the left side of the shell. - chimi It's really easy to get the ball inside the shell if you have the green paddle and lots of up & down range-just move the paddle over the shell and it will suck the ball in.
A little cheat to get the Gem of Achivement - go to the Standard Levels folder and remove all the levels that appear on the "Aim For Levels" start screen (ie Welcome To MacBrickout, Catch the Teleporter, Chairs et al) and then start the game on Aim For Levels. Since there are no levels to begin with, it automatically awards you the Gem! - Michael What is the "Gem of Acheivement"? -PJA

how do you get the juggling achievement?
you have to keep up 2 or 3 balls for a period of time. Not sure how long though. I dunno about keeping balls up but I get the juggling achievement by getting 2 3 capsules without losing the balls-CK
Dude, the shell is a cinch (did I spell that right?). I nicknamed the clear capsules "free achievement capsules" because you just get two in a row and there you go. Carson, you gotta make that harder. -JP Squirrel

in a row, your paddle breaks in half? Or that "Six is It" can get you coins easily? Oh yeah, and beware: the first brick in the middle, gated section of "Wall Flowers" *always* contains a Red X 
!!!!! Move your paddle before you are DOOOOMMMMED!!!!!

JP, I've actually had a free ball capsule 
fall down from that first brick in the gated section, but now I can't remember what makes it be that instead of the red X ... hmm.. if I remember, I'll let you know!! :-) Oh, and once my paddle has that vertical line in the middle, I try to avoid getting another blue, wide capsule , else you're exactly right -- the paddle breaks in half!! Instead I go for the brown capsule 
at this point, to make the paddle more narrow so I don't risk the breakage. :-)
The free ball capsule drops from the cage in level six most often when you are holding a Catch Capsule.
On the Menargie, or whatever, level in Mania with the radiation ball and the bomb ball, I noticed two things. One, if you get the red umphee but hit him with the purple ball, he'll turn back to green when he gets the treasure chest. Two, the red umphee ball seems to reveal tons of Up Down capsules in the gold bricks! Hmmm....

Yeah, you have to hit the umphee when he's close to a ball, and he'll go running and dislodge it. It's easy to overlook when you are juggling a lot of balls- just listen for a voice to say "umphee!" ;-] -JP Squirrel

All of it fell on the at once and it made some weird noise and staretd running back and forth really fast and it didin't stop until I beat the level. It was green. After it ran the whole screen about six times it kept running but stopped kicking up balls until i hit it again then it did another six. There were a lot of balls in the sand and the last one to fall was the _Jimtheenglishman
